  • 48 Hours Notice at 44AD

A group of artists (including Martha, image below), had 48 Hours to respond to the word TRACK, followed by a team of curators to organise and present the unseen work.

Each 48 Hours notice exhibition revolves around the making and exhibiting of artworks at very short notice, and there is no pressure to create a masterpiece; presented artwork may even be a work in progress.

The 48 Hours notice project is very much about exploring the process of creativity and the generation of ideas with the aim of initiating a dialogue between the audience, artist/artworks and the space.

Featuring painting, installation, photography, print, performance and video... let’s see what will happen!

Expressions I

about me

I am a Ceramic Artist, working from 'In Bristol Studios', an 1830's cotton mill situated in the Barton Hill area of Bristol.
I share 'space 1' with fellow Bath Spa University graduates Jo Corbett and Martha Orr.
My figurative pieces are handbuilt and hand decorated, each one has individual characteristics to suggest a narritive.
I also make small batch production pieces using traditional slip casting techniques they are hand altered and decorated to make each piece unique.
