  • Angel of the North

In February 2018 the Angel of the North marked a twenty year anniversary, so a perfect time to visit , even though we should have brought a sledge!!

Designed by internationally renowned sculptor Antony Gormley OBE, the Angel of the North, stands its arms outstretched, on top of Birtley Hill at Low Eighton in Lamesley near Gateshead, built on the site of a former colliery pithead baths, looking out over the North East and the A1 and A167 into Tyneside, it truely is an iconic piece of public art, that every one can enjoy.

Expressions I

about me

I am a Ceramic Artist, working from 'In Bristol Studios', an 1830's cotton mill situated in the Barton Hill area of Bristol.
I share 'space one' with fellow Bath Spa University graduates Jo Corbett and Martha Orr.
My figurative pieces are handbuilt and hand decorated, each one has individual characteristics to suggest a narritive.
I also make small batch production pieces using traditional slip casting techniques they are hand altered and decorated to make each piece unique.
